Picking Up Where You Left Off...

Sometimes, life doesn't require you to start over it simply requires you to pick up where you left off.
There may be dreams you once prayed about, goals you were excited about, and plans you started with so much hope, only to put them down somewhere along the way. Maybe life got busy. Maybe you experienced setbacks. maybe you lost confidence, became discouraged or simply needed time to grow into the person who could carry those dreams differently.
But unfinished doesn't mean failed.
Sometimes a dream gets paused because you needed to learn something first. Sometimes the delay gives you patience, perspective, wisdom, and faith. Sometimes when you revisit something you once wanted, you realize that the dream is still there, you just see it differently.
So dust off those unfinished goals.
Take another look at the things you once said you wanted to accomplish. Ask yourself: Do I still want this? Does this still align with who I am becoming? What is one small step I can take toward it today?
You don't have to create an overwhelming plan. You don't have to figure everything out at once. Start simple. Choose one goal. Break it into smaller steps. Give yourself realistic deadlines. Celebrate the small wins and most importantly give yourself permission to adjust the plan when life changes.
A restart doesn't have to be dramatic sometimes it looks like opening the notebook again. Making the phone call. Signing up for the class. Creating the first product. Saving the first $20. Writing the first page. Taking the first walk. Saying "I'm going to try again." And this time don't measure your progress by perfection but measure it by consistency.
